1. What are some of the aspects of Narrative writing and did you like using them?

Narrative writing is written in first person and tells some sort of story. I tend to write my stories in first person because it's just easier for me to convey my feelings to the readers that way. I don't have to write in any sort of "perspective" because it's me that's telling the story.

2. How did you determine what details were relevant and necessary to support your ideas?

As I read through my essay, I included details that contributed to the plot of the story and helped it advance forward in its pace. In each paragraph, I wrote sentences related to the topic sentence and added details that were interesting, necessary and connected to the plot.

3. How did you create a unique piece of writing and still meet the expectations of a Narrative essay?

I created a unique piece of writing by choosing an interesting plot that was different from others. With that plot, I chose unique word chooses and sentence structures. I still followed the expectations by writing it in first-person and telling a story.

4. How did you craft your writing to meet the audience expectations? What is easy or hard?

I believe that writing should be interesting when reading to any audience, so I tried my best to write my writing the most interesting possible. I kept it in a steady pace, not jumping or skipping parts, and tried to keep it logically flowing. That way, it would be easy for the audience to comprehend and follow along the story line.

It was definitely not easy. Any kind of writing is not easy (maybe expect chat messages or emails). Other than that, any kind of professional writing or school assignments are really challenging. The audience expects much and in order to meet those expectations, I had to keep in mind everything while I wrote. I had to make it interesting, moving, touching, and everything else that I would want to expect from one's writing.

5. How did your personal experience and faith shape the way you told this story?

I wrote about a musical experience that happened to me two years ago. My personal experience with music allowed me to write more accurately and connecting. I strongly believe in "practice makes almost perfection," so I used that theory to write about the experience I went through.

6. What would your life be like without the experience?

Without this experience, my life wouldn't be too effected, but I would have missed A LOT of fun and good experience. The scholarship I received was for Interlochen Arts Camp. Practicing for the scholarship itself and performing it in front of judges was a good experience for playing on stage. Attending Interlochen Arts Camp was a phenomenal experience. If I could, I would love to go there every year, but because of the expensive tuition and limited scholarship opportunities, I can't.

"The World's Most Powerful Women" talks about how women are making marks in business and politics all around the world. Their influence and respect is growing. This is an amazing feat for women who were once strongly discriminated in history. This is an amazing idea to me because it shows our continual growing impact in this world. This list isn't about celebrities or popularity, it's about influence. No.1 on the list for the fourth consecutive year is German Chancellor Angela Merkel. She is the leader of the world's fourth-largest economy. The list also includes the President of Argentina and the chief executive of Avon. Women have controlled a large part of this world, from business to impressive title holders.

1) How do you know an idea to write about is "good"?
I think an idea that is "good" is something that will evolve into a good writing piece. The idea will have a interesting story line and will capture the readers. The idea could be anything, from violence to high school cliques, as long as the writing has a purpose. That purpose is to educate the readers and have some sort of impact.

2) What is the hardest aspect of making an idea a complete paper?

I think one of the hardest aspects of making an idea a complete paper is that the fact that you start with just one simple idea and you have to create a whole writing piece. It's overwhelming at first. You have no idea where to begin, what to begin with, how to write it, or how the story will go on. When you finally grasp the sense of the beginning, you can start writing freely at the direction your story goes.

What characteristics describe "good" writing?

To me, the characteristics of quality writing is good writing that actually has a purpose. The story is deep and meaningful and conveys a message to the readers. It has a clear point that is supported with definite information. The story flows logically without interruptions and has good grammar, English and spelling. When reading, the readers will become absorbed into the story line and be captivated by the powerful text. Quality writing will touch the hearts of the readers.

What is the process of writing?

In order to develop quality writing, it's important to follow the writing process. The different stages of writing include prewriting, rough draft, revising, editing, final draft, and publishing. Prewriting includes brainstorming and developing ideas because actually starting the writing process. The rough draft is your very first draft of your story. You do your revising and editing on your rough draft and then start on your final draft after you finalize your writing piece. After finishing your final draft, you can publish your written piece. Remember, writing doesn't just go one way. You can go back and fourth between the stages to improve your writing.
